Privacy
Your enquiry,and what we do with it.
This policy covers the personal information we receive through this site and by e-mail or telephone, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. Who is responsible
The organisation responsible for the information described here is Jack Fever, 130 Cote de la Terre Forte, Chicoutimi, QC G7H 6A6, Canada. Questions about privacy go to [email protected], which is also the address of the person accountable for privacy in the company.
2. What we collect
- From the enquiry form: name, company (optional), e-mail address, telephone number, the programme chosen, the date, the town or venue, the number of guests, a budget range (optional), your message (optional), the two required confirmations, and the marketing tick if you give it.
- Technical data kept by the web server: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the browser string. These are written to the standard server log by our hosting provider.
- Cookies: described in the cookie policy. Nothing optional is set before you choose.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information. Please do not put health details, identity-document numbers or payment card data into the form.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a written proposal. In Canadian terms, this is use for the purpose for which you provided the information; your sending of the form is the consent for it.
- To perform a contract once a proposal is signed: planning, the run sheet, the site visit and the invoice.
- To send you occasional information about dates and new programmes, only if you ticked the marketing box. You can withdraw that at any time, and every message carries an unsubscribe route.
- To keep our own records of complaints and of accounting documents where the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 24 months from the last message, then deleted.
- Enquiries that lead to a booking: for the term of the contract and then for as long as tax and accounting law requires the related documents to be kept.
- Marketing consent: until you withdraw it, and then a record that it was withdrawn.
- Server logs: as long as the hosting provider keeps them under its own retention schedule.
5. Who else sees it
Only the people who need it: the crew planning your event, our accountant, our hosting and e-mail providers as processors, and anyone we are legally obliged to give it to. We do not sell personal information and we do not trade enquiry lists.
Where a provider stores data outside Quebec or outside Canada, that provider is bound by contract to protect it and to use it only on our instructions. Information held outside Canada may be accessible to the authorities of that country under its own law.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy of it;
- correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete what we no longer need to keep;
- stop using it for a purpose you object to;
- withdraw the marketing consent.
Write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. If we cannot do what you ask, we explain why in writing.
7. The law that applies and where to complain
We handle personal information under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, because we are established in Quebec, under the Quebec statute on the protection of personal information in the private sector.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, for a matter under Quebec law, to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec. Both bodies publish their current postal addresses, telephone numbers and online complaint forms on their own websites.
8. Advertising and measurement by third parties
No analytics or advertising tag is loaded on this site today. If we add one, it will run only after you switch the matching category on in the cookie dialog, and this page will be updated before it goes live.
Where a Google product is used in future, these two documents describe how Google handles data from sites that use its services: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google’s business privacy information.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form is protected by a session token and sends its contents to our own mailbox and to a log file kept outside the public web directory. Access to that mailbox and to the log is limited to the people who need it. We do not store payment card data at all.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes that affect an enquiry already in our hands are notified by e-mail.
