Programmes · Chip Theatre
The Fjord Job.Four rooms, one script.
A staged robbery that runs to a script for a full evening. Guests are split into crews, draw a role card and work four rooms: the chip floor, the safe corridor, the radio desk and the getaway briefing. Chips and credits are props handed out at the door, and the casino-themed floor is one of the four rooms, not the whole night.
Chips and credits are props. No bets, no money prizes, 18+.
What arrivesin the trucks.
Ten lines, each of them countable. If a line changes, the written proposal changes with it.
- Six prop tables: three 240 x 120 cm chip tables, one 180 x 90 cm radio desk, two 160 x 80 cm briefing tables
- Three free play cabinets, two of them mechanical, standing on the chip floor
- A 220 x 110 cm safe-door set piece with a working combination wheel
- Eight dealers and two floor hosts in costume, eight hours on site
- One host-narrator who runs the script from a printed run sheet
- 36 points of LED wash on stands, plus 12 practical table lamps
- Sound: two 12-inch tops, one sub, two radio mics, one wired announcement mic
- Chip bank of 12,000 clay chips and 600 credit slips, handed out at the door
- Printed matter: 300 role cards, 40 crew dossiers, 4 room maps
- Load-in 4 hours before doors, load-out 2 hours after the last guest
Adaptable inside the price: Room count (three or four), crew size, the language of the run sheet, and whether the chip floor opens first or last.
The cabinetson the chip floor.
Three cabinets stand on the chip floor as standard: two mechanical slots with three metal reels and a side lever, and one video slot with a button deck. Here the word slot means the mechanism and nothing else: a reel set, a lever, and an internal credit balance.
Each cabinet is 70 x 60 x 180 cm and weighs 110 to 140 kg. The bill acceptors, the coin acceptors and the credit meters come out before the cabinets are loaded onto the truck, so a guest puts nothing in and takes nothing out. One attendant looks after the zone for the whole evening.
If you want more of them, the Free Play Cabinets zone adds a four-cabinet stand on its own 6 x 3 m footprint, from $2,850.
The four rooms.
The chip floor
Three chip tables and three free play cabinets. Crews earn standings for the crew board here, and every guest is handed the same stack at the door.
The safe corridor
A combination wheel, a weight plate and a keypad. Eight minutes per crew, with a steward reading the clock out loud.
The radio desk
Two handsets at opposite ends of the room and a cipher sheet. One crew describes, the other writes down.
The getaway briefing
The narrator puts the four results together, reads the outcome and hands the room over to the music.

The three cabinets on the chip floor run on their own internal credit balance, with the bill and coin acceptors removed.

Questionsabout this evening.
Is anything wagered during The Fjord Job?
No. The chip floor is one of four rooms in a scripted evening. Chips and credit slips are props, handed out at the door in equal stacks, and cannot be bought or topped up. No bets are taken, there are no money prizes, and nothing is exchanged for cash, goods, vouchers or valuable prizes. There is no online part of the programme. Admission is 18+. The three cabinets on the chip floor run on free play with their bill and coin acceptors removed.
How many hosts do you bring for 300 guests?
Eight dealers, two floor hosts and one narrator, for eight hours on site. If the guest count lands under 200 we keep the narrator and reduce the dealer count, and the written proposal shows the new figure before you agree to it.
Can the evening run in a single room?
Yes, in a three-room version: the chip floor, the safe corridor and the radio desk fit a hall of about 300 square metres. The getaway briefing then happens at the main stage instead of a separate room.
Do you need a second day for the build?
No. Load-in is four hours before doors and load-out is two hours after the last guest. Those hours are not part of the eight programme hours, and we agree them with the venue in writing.
Send usthe date.
Tell us the date, the room and the guest count. You get back what is actually free, and a written proposal with the final figure.
$9,600 Starting price for the whole evening, taxes included. Planning range $9,600 to $12,850. Load-in and load-out are outside the eight programme hours, and sending the form is not a booking.
