Terms
What we promise.What we ask.
These terms apply to every proposal we send and every event we run, unless the signed proposal says otherwise in writing. The proposal always wins where the two differ.

1. Who we are
Jack Fever, 130 Cote de la Terre Forte, Chicoutimi, QC G7H 6A6, Canada, is the company that quotes, invoices and runs the events described on this site. Registration numbers are supplied on request and are stated in the contract.
2. What this site is
The pages here describe our programmes and give a starting price and a planning range for each one. They are information, not an offer capable of acceptance. Prices, availability and the contents of a programme are confirmed only in a written proposal addressed to you.
3. Enquiries and bookings
- Sending the enquiry form is not a booking and does not hold a date.
- We answer with availability and a written proposal, normally the same working day and within two working days at the outside.
- A date is held when you accept the proposal in writing and the advance payment has reached our account.
- Until then, the date remains available to anyone else who asks for it.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices on this site are starting prices for the whole event, with taxes included, in Canadian dollars.
- The price is not multiplied by the number of guests, and a smaller group does not reduce it.
- The hours stated for a programme are the hours your guests are in the room. Load-in and load-out are outside them.
- An advance payment of 40 per cent of the agreed figure confirms the date. The remainder is due 14 days after the event.
- Overtime beyond the agreed hours is charged per started hour at the rate stated in the proposal.
- Travel and crew accommodation beyond the Saguenay region appear as separate lines in the proposal, never as a surprise on the invoice.
5. Changes and cancellation
- Changes to the programme, the guest count or the hours are agreed in writing and may change the figure. We say so before we act on them.
- If you cancel more than 30 days before the event, the advance payment is retained and nothing further is owed.
- If you cancel 30 days or less before the event, 70 per cent of the agreed figure is payable, because the crew and the equipment are already committed.
- If you cancel 7 days or less before the event, the full figure is payable.
- If we cancel for a reason of our own, every sum you have paid is returned in full within 14 days.
- A date can be moved once at no charge if both sides agree at least 30 days before the event and the new date is free.
6. What the venue has to provide
Each programme page lists what we need from the room: floor area, ceiling height, load-in route, power and the hours we may be on site. If what we find on the day does not match what was agreed, we will run the programme in the reduced form that the room allows, and the agreed figure stands.
7. The nature of the programmes
All our programmes are offline entertainment. On the casino-themed evenings, chips and credits are props: they cannot be bought or topped up, no bets are placed, there are no money prizes and nothing is exchanged for cash, goods, vouchers or valuable prizes. Participation in those programmes and use of the free play cabinets is for people aged 18 and over. The full rules are on the responsible programme rules page, and they form part of these terms.
8. Responsibility
- We are responsible for our own equipment, our crew and the way the programme is run, and we carry liability insurance for them.
- The client or the venue is responsible for the premises, for food and drink, for the door policy and for anything the venue’s own licence requires.
- We are not responsible for a guest’s belongings, nor for a delay or failure caused by the venue, by a power cut, by severe weather or by another event outside our control.
- Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the agreed figure for the event, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
9. Photographs and recordings
We take no photographs or recordings at your event unless the proposal says we do. Where it does, you tell your guests in advance and we agree in writing what the material may be used for. Nothing from a client event appears on this site without written permission.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law applicable in the Province of Quebec and the federal law of Canada, and the courts of the judicial district of Chicoutimi have jurisdiction. We will always try to settle a dispute in writing first.
